Advent Meets the Foldscope Microscope
“Be Magnified” is an advent devotional book created by the Science Communicators of Faith (SCF), an affiliate group of the American Scientific Affiliation. Our founder, Ciara Reyes-Ton is the President of SCF, and helped lead the development of this book. It is designed to be used alongside the Foldscope microscope, a portable, affordable, paper microscope. The hope is for readers to encounter the story of Christ in a new way that is deeply meaningful, curiosity-driven, and awe-inspiring. Science is exactly the vehicle to help do that.
