Introducing the Mount Carmell Worship Collective

I want to experience [God] more deeply and fully, and I want to help others experience him that way too. This is the heart behind the Mount Carmell Worship Collective.

Worship is how I feel closest to God. Traditionally, for me worship involves music. Listening to a song on the radio, joining in a congregational song, or writing my own music. There’s something beautiful about music that has the power to move me.

Science backs this up. Just the right combination of chords, the sound of harmonies, and the lyrics come together to create an experience that words alone cannot describe. Especially worship music for me—it more than moves me—it ministers to me by creating an atmosphere where God’s presence can be tangibly felt and priming my heart for the Holy Spirit to work.

At its core, worship is an intentional act—I put myself in a posture that is deliberate, seeking to experience something and someone greater than myself. It’s an invitation to the already all present God that I am ready to encounter him, and want to hear what he has to say. By this definition, worship should be more than just a passing moment—it truly should be a lifestyle.

I admit that I do not always live my life out in a posture of worship, such that I miss out on experiencing God more often than not, but I want to experience him more deeply and fully, and I want to help others experience him that way too. This is the heart behind the Mount Carmell Worship Collective.

The mission is simple: To cultivate worship as a daily practice, build a global community of worshipers, and see lives transformed by Christ through worship.

The core values are simple too:

  • Christ-centered Worship

  • Life-giving Community

  • Transformation

As for what the collective will do, it will encourage the practice of worship through creative projects and initiatives, from social media challenges to songwriting. Plans are in place for songwriting and co-writes that will lead to sharing new worship songs here, as well as initiatives that will encourage conversations about worship, and the daily practice of it.

I’d love to invite you to be a part of this collective, a growing movement to make worship a daily part of your life. Join the mailing list (below) for updates, and follow @mountcarmell on Instagram and LinkedIN.
