Our Curated List of 24 “Unlisted” Christian Artists
The year 2024 has been all about “firsts” for the Mount Carmell Worship Collective. We launched our collective in April, and officially became a worship collective for the creative exploration of faith, science, and the arts collective in October.
We will end the year with another “first” and start an annual tradition of celebrating our pick of Christian artists who have released music this year. Christianity Today and The Gospel Coalition, among other Christian platforms have generated lists for this year, as well as other years. These lists are great, and the artists who make those lists are worthy of such acknowledgements - they’ve been on billboard charts and won awards.
This list is for the “unlisted” Christian artists, singer-songwriters who may not have placed on billboard charts and won awards this year, but are noteworthy. Our list is not a cherry-picked list of “tops” and “bests.” It is a curated list.
We asked our followers on social media for suggestions, and we spent time “digging” on Spotify searching for new music released by Christian artists.
We created a Spotify and Youtube playlist of 24 songs. Styles range from Gospel music, R&B to folk and CCM. Some of the artists include: Paul Demer, John Swinton, Trulah, Linga TheBoss, and Phillip Carter.
Our goal with this list is to encourage and inspire Christian artists to keep creating and sharing their music.
Each year we plan to create curated playlists to celebrate “unlisted” artists/songs and select a number of songs for that year - so next year, that will be 25 new songs! Until then, Christian artists, keep creating, keep sharing your music, whether you make a “list” or not, the reason behind why we create is much bigger than any list.
*Please save our list on Spotify, and we encourage you to follow all the artists on our playlist, that is one small way to help support us and Christian artists, many of whom are indie.
